Scotts/Guardsman Tour, Big Cottonwood Canyon- 3.8.2017

Finally I got a day free to get back after it on the splitboard. I had yet to visit the Guardsman area this year, so I figured today was the day. The road is buried so deep right now. Lots of ruts from the sleds running the road to get to the PC side. I made a pretty quick pace up to the junction to Scotts Pass. I made my way up the summer trail, and near the top ran into the biggest Moose I have ever seen in the Wasatch. I ducked into some trees as I do not think he saw me. I made the change over quick in case I needed a rapid departure. I did not make it to my destination I was shooting for, but no big, the snow was gonna be grand. In the shadow the snow was still blower pow. In the sun it was getting cooked by some really warm temperatures. I made the drop and had so much fun. When I popped out into the sun lower down on the mountain, you could really tell the snow as getting baked. I left my mark on some fresh canvas out there and had a really nice day going for a walk and getting a few turns. It was nice to be out on the skin track once more. Enjoy the video, more to come!

Powder Mountain Catboarding- 2.28.2017

I got a rare treat this week to knock off a bucket list adventure riding the snowcat from Lightning Ridge at Powder Mountain. After the early AM departure, I made the long drive to the resort. It was a complete blizzard when I arrived at the lodge. I threw the boots on, and met up with Jeremy and we were off to find the cat. Our first run off Lightning Ridge was deep! It was a raging blizzard when we crossed to ride the powder country gate. The snow stayed good all day with the arctic temps and the wind moving the snow around. It was a great day in deep powder riding some new terrain. Enjoy the video. More to come!
