Splitboarding Grizzly Gulch, Wasatch Mountains, Utah- December 2023

Well it really decided to snow to start out September! I got a great day up to my spot in the Wasatch. The climb in was good, though chanllenging. I had a great day on the skin track! The climb was nice and this is a spot that I usually dont visit till mid to late January. The storm was blizzard conditions and the wind was stacking it up deep out there. I made the proper, then up the main track to my cut off. At my cutoff, it was gonna be breaking trail all the way to the finish. Once I topped out it was nuking snow. Concerned for the road down the canyon, I dropped in! It was deep, visibility low at times, but the snow was perfect! First legit powder day of the season! This is a compilation of my star trails photography I have shot, made into a timelapse video! This is a new creative process for me, so I am very pleased to share my very first video made with the images from my still image star trails! Thanksgiving Snow Storm, Splitboarding Albion Basin- November 2023

After a great Thanksgiving dinner with family, I got out for a day on the splitboard, as a storm arrived here in Utah. This one went a long way to opening up the terrain a bit more. I was able to go off trail to shortcut my line this time. It was snowing the whole time.

After topping out, I made the switchover and dropped in! It was powder, but there were still some rocks, and I think I hit a few, but only some burrs on the edges that i could find. I just took out with a diamond stone when I got home. The soft snow made turns feel so good and it was fast snow so got to hit the gas pedal on the ride out!
